On Thursday we went to Arowhenua Marae between Temuka and Timaru.
"I enjoyed the rock painting. We had to use different colours." - Aiden "Only some people got to do their mihi. I really liked the pudding and the hangi. It was pretty filling!" - Hayley "A hangi is when you wrap the food in tinfoil and sacks and you put it on some really hot stones and burry it. It has to trap the smoke. You dig it up when it's ready." - Theoh |
